Mir Murad Ali Talpur, the chairman of the Pakistan Businesses Forum (PBF) Sindh Chapter, has called on the business community to support the Balochistan and Sindh flood victims. We can't put the entire burden of solving this situation on the government, he remarked. He claimed that in addition to the 1.5 million houses that have already sustained damage in Sindh as a result of the heavy rains and urban flooding, the agriculture and people who work in the agricultural sector have also been entirely destroyed; cotton has suffered damage of between 90 and 100 percent.

The majority of the onion exported from Pakistan originates from Sindh, which also produces the majority of the state's principal vegetable crop, the onion.
